International Katowice Airport in Pyrzowice – Katowice Airport is an international airport situated in Pyrzowice, approximately 33 kilometres north of the Katowice centre. Katowice Airport has one of the longest runways at its disposal in Poland, it’s 3200 meters long and 45 meters wide (put into service in May 2015). In terms of the number of passengers checked in and the number of air operations, it is in the fourth place among Polish airports. The airport has three passenger terminals with a total capacity of around 5.5 million passengers per year.
